Real-world applications in information systems, supply chain management, and others. A broad overview of business intelligence (BI) including foundational BI concepts, strategies, techniques, and technologies. Primary emphasis on the strategic and managerial perspective, focusing on how to design, implement, and leverage business intelligence systems and strategies in management and leader ship roles. Fundamentals of developing business intelligence systems for decision making, development of business intelligence tools in the context of business networks and collaborative online environments; dimensional data modeling; extracting, transforming, and loading data (ETL); online analytical processing (OLAP); data mining, data warehouse architecture; developing data visualizations to answer key business questions and aspects of knowledge management.
