Membership Hill - routes to becoming a member

AIMP Direct Membership provides a clear structure that allows entry at appropriate level, accurately reflecting the individual’s academic standards, vocational skill, experience and contribution to the profession.

Membership shall be through these routes; Examination, Practitioner, Executive and Corporate means.

The AIMP Professional Exams

Candidates are required to demonstrate their ability to carry out a supervised but independent investigation, to collate their findings from it and to analyze and assess their significance. They are then expected to present a well-structured and lucid report or thesis.

Exemption from AIMP Professional Exams

Since the course is intended to provide a foundation in research methods control system development, it should contain an element in relevant research methods. Many educational establishments provide a taught course in this area. Where none is available, the candidate’s supervisor will be responsible for covering this requirement. Additional studies in specific subject areas will also normally be required.
